About Joyce Hill
Home Is Where the Heart Is
When I talk about the places and memories dear to my heart, there is one in particular that is sprinkled consistently throughout my thoughts – my home. Home is Tacoma where my husband Bob and I raised our three children and where I enjoy entertaining my grandchildren. Home is where our family has established traditions and where I escape the hustle and bustle of daily life by tending my rose garden and cuddling up in my favorite chair for a quiet evening or reading.
Many of my memorable moments include other people to whom I always show a strong commitment of caring. It is important that no matter what you’re doing or whom it affects that there is genuine caring involved. My strongest desire every day is to care first about others.
I have an extensive background as an instructor, an academic dean and as a president of a private business college which provided me with numerous opportunities to really make a difference for others. I even taught piano to kids in my neighborhood and instructed servicemen who were enrolled in the GED program. I strongly believe in giving back to a community that has given me so much to me. Because of that belief, I have been actively involved with the Chamber of Commerce, the Pantages Center for the Performing Arts, my Church and Executive Women International, a group dedicated to the advancement of women in business.
Currently I serve as Secretary for Washington State Chapter of Certified Residential Specialists. This organization is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of real estate service and includes only the top 4% of REALTORs nationally.
Since my home and community are so important to me, I can relate to how important a seller’s or buyer’s home would be to them. A home is a place where you will leave your heart. It will house the moments of your life that matter most. A home is so much more than a house – it’s a special place in your heart. More than anything, I want my buyers and sellers to be comfortable in their new environment and to consider their home an extension of themselves. When I say that I want to share the special moments that a re lived in a home with the special people that I care so deeply about, my buyers and sellers, I mean it from the bottom of my heart!
